Both platforms converge decisively on Democrat Xavier Becerra at 92–94% to win the November general election against Republican Steve Hilton, with only a 2-point spread suggesting near-perfect agreement despite different resolution dates (Polymarket: Nov 3 vs Kalshi: Jan 6). The minimal difference reflects that Becerra's dominance as a Democrat in California—where registered Democrats outnumber Republicans nearly 2-to-1—is so pronounced that the extra 65 days for Kalshi settlement poses negligible additional risk; the outcome is effectively priced as settled by both markets.
